FAQ'S

WILL I TRAVEL FOR YOUR CEREMONY?

Of course I will! I love to travel! However, travel outside an approximate 75km radius of Boyne Island will  incur a fee. Fees are subject to quote and dependent on several factors like:
Is the distance so great that it will require an overnight stay?

Is the distance so great that it will restrict my ability to perform another ceremony the following day?

HOW FAR AHEAD CAN YOU BOOK?

Submitting a Notice of Intended Marriage (NOIM) form to the Celebrant has legal limitations and must be lodged no more than 18 months in advance and no less than 1 month. However bookings to secure your date can be taken for any time. There are no legal limitations for all other ceremony types.

DO I PERFORM CEREMONIES FOR SAME SEX COUPLES?

Absolutely Yes!
I mean this shouldn't even be a question here right?

WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU NEED TO RESCHEDULE YOUR CEREMONY?

This was probably the theme of 2020/22 and into 2023 (Thanks Covid!) but rest assured no matter what the reason is you need to re schedule, I will work closely with you to find a suitable alternate date.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I CANT PERFORM YOUR CEREMONY?

I have a large network of local celebrant friends whom I can call upon in such an emergency. If this does occur then I would support you to find a  suitable replacement celebrant, and can either transfer my fee to the celebrant directly, or, if you’d prefer to find your own replacement, I would return my fee to you.

CAN YOU INCLUDE YOUR PETS IN THE CEREMONY?

Of course you can! Pets are part of the family right? so why not? There are lots of ways we can incorporate your beloved furry, fluffy or feathered family members. And, I absolutely love them all so I am up for the challenge if you are!

WILL I DRESS UP FOR YOUR THEMED CEREMONY?

Hello!!!! I love a good dress up, who doesn't? Depending on what you want will depend on whether an extra fee will be incurred. But, hell yes of course I will!

WHAT IF YOUR PARTNER CANT SPEAK ENGLISH?

There are legal provisions for this and the first thing you would need to do is find an interpreter who can attend our meetings and the ceremony. There is form called 'Certificate of Faithful Performance' that also incorporates a statutory declaration that must be completed prior to and after the ceremony. I can walk you through this so no need to worry.

DO I PERFORM END OF LIFE CEREMONIES?

Unfortunately at this time this service is unavailable.
